What is NPC?

Eligibility Criteria for this NPC Training

- Applicant must have a valid National Identification Number (NIN)
- Applicant must have a functional e-mail account

- Prospective candidates must have an operational commercial bank account (No student/NYSC Account)
- Must have valid educational qualifications such as a Secondary diploma, high school diploma, Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or Doctorate degree.
- Prospective candidates must be knowledgeable on the use of computers, tablets and smartphones.
NPC Training Date For Enumerators
As of November 2023, the new date for NPC training enumerators and supervisors is still on hold since the National Population Commission census 2023 was postponed from May 3–7 to a new date that President Tinubu will announce.
According to the NPC source, they are still awaiting word from President Tinubu regarding a revised census date. They will announce a new date for NPC training supervisors and enumerators once they have this date.
Note: The NPC announces that the Training Census will be in 2024 but the set date is not yet out.
However, NPC has already finished the online facilitator virtual training, which runs from April 24 to Wednesday, April 26. Every state facilitator has finished completing the Google Form registration process.

When Is NPC Training Starting?
The NPC training day for supervisors and enumerators will no longer take place on April 13, 2023. The commission is about to make an announcement regarding the new training date.
To be honest, no one has announced the new date for NPC training yet. As a result, the supervisors’ and enumerators’ new NPC training date cannot currently be scheduled.
We should know that from April 8 to April 11, 2023, NPC Census will notify each participant of the training date and location.
New Date For NPC Training
On Thursday, April 13, 2023, at all of the designated training facilities/classrooms in the 774 LGAs of Nigeria, the training at the LGA level is set to begin. Therefore, the following are expected of the State offices in coordination with the LGA offices:
- Review the suitability of the classrooms, fix any gaps, and label them for easy identification by trainees and trainers from Sat 8th – Monday 10th April 2023
- They are to assign eligible candidates to classrooms and display a list of members of each class by the classes for ease of identification by 11th April 2023
- Communicate the date for commencement of training, and the address of the training center to each participant from 8th-11th April 2023.
- Organise a one-day orientation for the Local Government Training Coordinators to be anchored by the State Director, State Training Coordinators, and State Field coordinators and monitored by the Zonal Coordinators on Tuesday 11th April 2023
- Training Centre Administrators (TCMA) to commence accreditation of participants on Wednesday 12th April 2023.
- They are to move the training materials to the training centers by Wed. 12th April 2023.
- All facilitators including DQMS and SWF to report at the training centre assigned for review of updates and discussion of the training timetable on Tuesday 12th April 2023.
